Wild Wadden Sea oysters.
From September to April you can go hunting in the Wadden Sea for the delicious and large Wadden Sea oysters. The many guided tours equip you for the trip out into the Wadden Sea and ensure that you not only find oysters, but also get a delicious taste experience beyond the usual.
At low tide you go beyond the endless surfaces and become almost one with the breadth of nature. The oyster banks are filled with large and fresh oysters that can be enjoyed on site or taken home. Many trips also include subsequent cooking of the oysters over a campfire and with accessories.
Remember to find out about the attire; long rubber boots or waders and warm clothes. You can often rent equipment from the tour provider. Read more when you book your experience.
Oyster trips By the Wadden Sea have different durations. At the Wadden Sea Center, a trip takes 4-5 hours. On Rømø, an oyster trip often takes 2 hours.
Who is behind the Denmark campaign By the Wadden Sea is part of the campaign "Much more than just Denmark". The site has been prepared to create an increased desire to travel in Denmark and inspire all our guests to new holiday experiences. Behind the effort are 19 Danish destinations, Danish Coast and Nature Tourism, Danish City Tourism and VisitDenmark. The campaign is supported by the Danish Business Promotion Board.
